Those who aspire for short trekking trips may choose to go on Annapurna trek in Nepal Himalayas. This trek will also give you the scope of visiting Nepal and enjoying its natural beauty. If you dislike camping, you will enjoy residing in special lodges while you are on a four day trek in the Annapurna region. You cross the villages and travel along the cultivated terraces observing how the poor people reside at the foot hills of Himalayas.

Then you enjoy the walk through the rhododendron forests with tree orchids and magnificent magnolias. One of the most spectacular sights of the place is the view of the mountain range from the lodge window. Then you return to Pokhara and stay there for two nights before returning to Kathmandu. In these two days enjoy sigh seeing at Pashupatinath and Boudhanath. Spend the night in a first class hotel accommodation in Pokhara Kathmandu, and good lodges spread all over the Annapurna region. Thus you will enjoy your one week trekking holiday.


  1. Day 1- Reach Kathmandu Airport and then fly to Pokhara

    Stay for a night at a hotel and just rent a bed and breakfast for the next morning.

  2. Day 2- Drive to Nayapul (1070m) and trek to Ghandruk (1940m) 5-6 hrs

    Wake up early, have your breakfast then hire a car and quickly reach Nayapul, the trek starting point. First you cross the river through a hanging bridge at Modi Khola and continue following the river till you reach the Syauli Bazar. From the village you get a panoramic view of the great mountains, starting from Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre along with the distant Annapurna I and Gangapurna. Just stay overnight at any lodge or tea house.

  3. Day 3- Trek to Landruk (1590m) 3-4 hrs

    Trek along the steep criss cross way along the Modi Khola river then cross the river at Kyumi. From Kyumi the vertical climb to Landruk begins. From Landruk the view of the Annapuran ranges change. Now it is very different from what you have been experiencing till today. Relax here in a lodge and sleep well at night.

  4. Day 4- Trek to Dhampus (1700m) 7 hrs

    For the first four hours trek from Landruk is not steep and is pretty comfortable. The next two to three hours trek till Deurali is through the vertical land. You will then cross the downhill to reach Pothana crossing the dense forest in next two hours. While walking down the Pothana you get the magnificent view of Macchapucchre, the fish tail mountain. Finally after walking for few more hours you will reach Dhampus where you rest for the night.

  5. Day 5- Trek to Phedi (1130m) and return to Pokhara in 2 hrs drive

    Today you walk down the nettle roads along the villages and paddy fields and reach Phedi. From Phedi you drive back to your hotel at Pokhara. Just stay for a night at the hotel. Hire only the bed and eat breakfast in the morning before leaving.

  6. Day 6- Merry making at Pokhara

    Just relax and rejuvenate at the hotel in Pokhara. Sleep well and eat a lot after a tedious journey.

  7. Day 7- Flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu

    Finish your lunch a little early than usual then reach the airport to board the flight back to Kathmandu. On your way back to the hotel in Kathmandu do not forget to pay your visit to Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhanath Stupa. Spend the evening at Thamel and stay at the hotel that night.

  8. Day 8- Return flight from Kathmandu

    At the end of the trip take your return flight from Kathmandu.
