Deotibba Base & Hampta Pass Trek

10 Nights / 11 Days

When should you go: 25 April - 03 May / 02 - 10 May / 20 Juna - 01 July / 30 Sept - 11 October

You could do no better than choosing the Hampta Pass if you want the most delightful trekking experience in Manali. You are treading the footsteps of thousands who used this pass from Kullu valley to Lahaul before the Rohtang Pass came into general use. Up into the Pir Panjal Range into the majestic foothills of the Himalayas, across the Hampta Pass at 4270 m until you reach Lahaul, an isolated and quaintly exotic district of Himachal Pradesh.

Lift your eyes to a barren landscape above and some of the most breathtaking beautiful green valleys below and you will feel you are somewhere between heaven and earth. The lush green valleys, lofty snowclad white mountains peaks and the inky blue sky take on different hues as the Sun rises and sets. The trek after the Manali valley Deo Tibba base, through forests of walnut, oak and alder, especially if you undertake it in the monsoon, is a soul-elevating experience.
